June 2025 RASC Members Only Tour of the RCTC Moreno Valley/March Field Station Improvements
On June 5, Riverside County Transportation Commission offered RASC members a behind the scenes tour of the latest improvements to the Moreno Valley/March Field Station on the Perris Valley line. RASC president, Amr Zaher, reported from the field:
The tour was well attended by both RASC and RCTC representatives. RCTC began with a brief introduction to the program agenda. After that, the attendees headed down to the station platform. John Tarascio provided an overview of the project, followed by Karl Saucer, who shared key lessons learned from recent construction efforts. The station is expected to be open to the public within a few weeks pending final punch item list.
RCTC also presented several other significant projects planned along the Perris Valley Line (PVL), including the South Perris Station, Mead Valley Station, PVL double track upgrades, and future selective improvements at stations to accommodate growing demand.
Following the presentations, RCTC distributed copies of the Traffic Relief Plan, highlighting the percentage of investment allocated to each sector and mode of transportation.
The attendees then headed to CAVA for lunch and networking, courtesy of RASC.
